Dziś urodziny obchodzi Kate Bush, jedna z moich ulubionych brytyjskich pupilek, niezwykle kreatywna, choć rzadko nagrywająca, wokalistka obdarzona wyjątkowym głosem i niesamowitą osobowością. Jej debiutancki singiel „Wuthering Heights” to obok „Heart of glass” Blondie pierwsze zagraniczne nagranie, które wywarło na mnie jako małym dziecku piorunujące wrażenie. Nic dziwnego, że właśnie „Wuthering Heights”, czyli „Wichrowe Wzgórza” to numer 1 mojego subiektywnego TOP 60 moich ulubionych nagrań Kate Bush. Inspiracją dla tego nagrania była piękna angielska powieść autorstwa Emily Bronte, na podstawie której pisałem potem swoją pracę magisterską z literatury angielskiej pt. „Elementy gotyckie w twórczości sióstr Bronte”.
